The ‘N’ Levels result are out and this year Peirceans did very well. Everyone managed to pass their English subject and we beat the percentage of last year’s cohort. This year the percentage of students that managed to get promoted to Sec 5N is 75.5% which beat last year’s 75.3% and the National percentage of 71%.

The National percentage drop from 73% to 71%. This is expected as the criteria for promotion is definitely much harder. This is the first time that the criteria is changed from 3 best subjects plus a pass in English with the points not exceeding 10 points to 5 best subjects plus a pass in English with the points not exceeding 19 points.

We are expecting a more motivated cohort that will sit for the ‘O’ levels next year and hopefully will result in a better ‘O’ levels achievement in 2010.
